If I needed a space to have a party with around 100 people in February, where do you think I could have it? I'd like to avoid super-expensive options, but I'm saving up for something cool. If the Dilboy VFW was half it's size, it'd be perfect.

Depending on what day of the week, you might try calling some UU churches. Many of them have nice-sized halls that could hold 100...

I'm bad at estimating numbers of people and amount of space. The room we use at St Mary's Church in Central Square might be a good size for 100 people.

The YWCA in Central might also be a good size, though I have no idea what the prices are these days.

some folkdances use a church hall on marathon st in east arlington that is not too huge. very much a church hall tho, even if a progressive one.
