Feeling extremely high school tonight, I completed the first stage (steal underpants!) of my dorktacular project: printing photos (on nice paper) of people I admire/need the inspiration of regularly and post them on my wall above my printer. I like it, and I'm pleased that photos-taped-to-the-wall is not an aesthetic that I have outgrown.. There is a variety of old and new heroes/inspiration up there, some of them I have mixed feelings about but decided to include for specific characteristics.

Anyone who can guess one person who IS on the wall gets a big kiss next time I see you. Anyone who can name someone who is NOT on the wall but who should be gets two, because it's looking a little sparse

Also of note, to the best of my knowledge, 14 out of 26 of the people currently on the wall either do or have lived in new york city to the best of my knowledge, and a few of the rest I'm not sure about.

I don't know anyone who has ever attempted this procedure, probably because abortion is now legal, so I can't say. I wonder if it's in any of the interviews I linked? I'll have to listen to them after work.

Yay! You got more than most people. I'm surprised by the number of people who have picked maya angelou, when she's not someone I had considered. Barbara Kingsolver and Judy Chicago are definitely there, and susan faludi, georgia o and kahlo will all be there shortly.
