I applied for the new job I think I might really want. I might be really disillusioned though. We'll see. But just getting up the chutzpah to apply for it and de-rustify my resume and bang together a cover letter, well, that's really hard for me to do is all.

Happy birthday! I regret not being there at the party - alas! I was busy trying to avoid getting my spleen harvested by moonlighting as one of the Archivists at the Vatican :^)

The MIT Assassin's Guild (a LARP group) is currently holding a 10-day long game which I'm participating in. The game is called "Only the Holy See" and is set in the Vatican City in 2025, just after the death of Pope Adam Paul (who in the game succeeded Benedict XVI). Basically, we're trying to elect a new pope, reconcile the various Christian sects into one church, and avoid dying simultaneously. It's loads of fun.
